Job Description:
The Sr. Manager, People Business Partner will support the Fulfillment Center teams based in La Vergne, Tn. In this role, the Sr. Manager, Pbp will be responsible for the execution of all People functions such as: organization design, employee relations, talent management, change management and recruitment.
This leader will demonstrate integrity, empathy, grit, resiliency, accountability and self awareness. S/he will naturally influence, inspire, challenge and demonstrate courage. The key to success in this role lies in an adaptable and nimble approach.
Responsibilities
- Key Partner to the Fulfillment Center leadership teams through organizational development and change management initiatives including recruiting, organization design, evolution, development, restructuring, etc
- Provide timely and accurate professional partnerships with management
- Build relationships with internal People team partners as well as key cross-functional partners
- Ensure top-level talent strategy is integrated into line-level actions through innovative learning and development opportunities
- Diagnose opportunities for learning and development programs; develop and facilitate organization-specific training sessions; assess training effectiveness through evaluations
- Partner with leadership to resolve employee relation issues; provide coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with legal counsel on issues as appropriate
- Manage the talent review process to ensure consistent and fair decisions are made in regards to compensation; provide training and counseling on the overall talent process
- Lead, develop and motivate a team of People Business Partners
- Provide coaching to all areas of the organization regarding compensation strategy, levels and market data
- Partner with Talent Acquisition for critical positions and direct overall headcount and staffing plans
- Maintain site policy and services and manage policy change roll-outs to ensure business adoption and/or understanding of changes
- Support rollout of compliance initiatives and provide counsel to management in regards to local employment law and legislation changes
- Analyze data and provide recommendations to improve processes, employee engagement and policy alignment across the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of Human Resources experience in a fulfillment center, retail, or brand-focused environment
- Strong generalist experience (employee relations, compensation, training and development, coaching/counseling, change management, recruiting etc.)
- Demonstrated business acumen: intellectually curious about organizational systems and structures, cutting edge business strategies, and informed about emerging industry trends
- Verifiable track record of success partnering with senior leaders, serving as a credible and trusted resource
- Demonstrates strategic thinking: able to envision, distill, communicate, develop and implement short and long-term human resource/change management initiatives
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; demonstrated influence and diplomacy at all levels
- Self directed with a passion for delivering results
- Technologically astute with strong proficiency in: Word, Excel, PowerPoint web browsers and tools.
