Job Description

Reporting to: Assistant Store Manager, Sales.

As a personal stylist, you will be responsible for creating unparalleled appointment shopping experiences, helping to cultivate privileged and sincere relationships with customers. As a trustworthy Consultant both in-store and online, you will provide an impeccable customer experience by being motivated and committed to engaging with customers, and thus participating in the team culture. and creative exploration of SSENSE store space and product catalog. You will foster a positive work environment aligned with SSENSE brand values ​​and the achievement of its key goals.


Sales return – 30%

  • Ensure that sales objectives, key performance indicators and desired volume for in-store activations are met and that an exceptional customer experience is offered, in line with SSENSE Montreal’s brand strategy
  • Identify customer-related business needs to increase customer satisfaction
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the brand; develop and continuously improve the quality of styling through increased knowledge of SSENSE products, a sense of adaptation and irreproachable choices

Sales experience – 40%

  • Create and deliver personalized and unique customer experiences through exceptional quality interactions
  • Cultivate sincere and loyal customer relationships through database management and engagement before, during and after every touchpoint
  • Participate in the resolution of customer issues by offering solutions that benefit both parties
  • Assist customers by communicating fluidly and following up on their requests to offer them an incomparable experience
  • Assist in operational activities relating to the appointment model as needed, be responsible for ensuring the quality that SSENSE promises to its clientele

Operations – 20%

  • Assist in the in-store experience by ensuring customer transactions are completed accurately and efficiently using SSENSE systems and technologies
  • Participate in brand launches, capsule collections and in-store activations
  • Support loss prevention in all aspects of physical security, inventory management and transaction accuracy
  • Ensure compliance of store operational activities, health and safety standards and maintenance of company policies and protocols
  • Maintain current visual direction by identifying, communicating and ensuring visual presentation standards

Leadership – 10%

  • Train and see to the development of outstanding customer-focused teams
  • Promote collaboration between sales staff and support staff


  • A minimum of two years of experience as a personal stylist
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining relationships of trust with customers
  • College or university degree in fashion, business, management or related field preferred
  • Experience with handling point of sale systems
  • Demonstrated experience in building trust in a multi-channel environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the brands offered at SSENSE , including the artistic direction and history of each brand as well as technical information on the clothing
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes (15 kg)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Comfortable working with the Microsoft Office suite, the Google suite and with computers and the Web
  • Flexibility for working hours that may vary due to business demands
