Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic US Sales Director to join the Unsaid team. As the Sales Director, you will be the face of Unsaid in the Us, and responsible for strategy and execution of wholesale distribution, retail expansion, events, and digital sales. You will leverage your existing relationships and market knowledge to chart the path for growth throughout the market. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in both retail and wholesale channels within the fine jewelry industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expansion of Wholesale Distribution: Actively expand our wholesale account distribution, focusing on prestigious luxury jewelry retailers in the Us. This involves identifying potential partners, negotiating agreements, and maintaining strong relationships. Develop and implement strategies for expanding our business with Saks, one of our key retail partners.
  • Client Development and Brand Image Events: Conceptualize, plan, and execute high-impact client development initiatives and brand image events across the market to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Trade Show Activities: Plan and execute trade show activities, ensuring our brand is represented effectively and strategically at key industry events throughout the year.
  • Team Leadership and Talent Development: Lead and inspire your team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Identify and nurture talent within the sales team, providing opportunities for growth and career advancement. Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to our wholesale field team, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
  • Market Analysis and Insights: Regularly analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities in the fine jewelry sector. Utilize these insights to inform strategies and decisions.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage the budget for sales activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, and supply chain teams, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall brand objectives.
  • Digital and E-commerce Strategy: Collaborate with digital teams to enhance online presence and sales, aligning with the overall omnichannel strategy of the brand.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior sales role within the luxury goods or fine jewelry industry.
  • Proven experience in fine jewelry, covering both retail and wholesale channels.
  • Established relationships with major and specialty retailers in the fine jewelry sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
  • Experience in growing a new or emerging brand in the market.
  • Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and execution skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with partners and customers.
  • Ability to travel as required for business needs.
  • A strong passion for jewelry and a good understanding of various jewelry types, gemstones, precious metals, and current trends.
  • Extensive client development experience with Vic’s, including development of events, CRM activities, and charity partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the Us luxury market, consumer behavior, and retail dynamics.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
