Job Description

Summary

The Commercial Market Director will lead all aspects of commercial management for the portfolio to grow volume and profit within assigned markets and distributor network.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the brand planning process and supervise development and execution of market-based brand objectives.
  • Work closely with Brand Director & Vp to ensure annual market plan is established and reconciled quarterly.
  • Develop and execute price structures for profit maximization and proper brand positioning.
  • Manage A&P/Dpp/Ftt budgets in accordance with brand strategy and contracted rates.
  • Ensure preferred supplier status with distributors, agencies, retailers, and business partners within assigned market.
  • Develop results-driven programming with distributor to achieve qualitative objectives and budget goals.
  • Conduct planning sessions, business reviews, and train distributor sales force.
  • Participate in distributor market visits to ensure market execution standards.
  • Develop and maintain high quality standards of retail executions to deliver annual targets.
  • Ensure effective pricing strategies and brand mix within the market.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts and monitor competitive activity.
  • Survey the market and increase brand growth opportunities across all channels.
  • Monitor and report on the competitive landscape and market activity.
  • Perform program analysis for market effectiveness and Roi.
  • Leverage media and brand sponsored events for maximum value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years of brand marketing experience, preferably in luxury consumer goods or U.S. wines and spirits industries.
  • 10+ years trade or distributor management experience within the Beverage Alcohol Industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, system, and management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and distributor network.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
