Job Description

Summary

Under the guidance of the Asset Protection Manager or Assistant General Manager Operations, the Asset Protection Investigator is tasked with overseeing shortage control, monitoring inventory, and ensuring the safety and security of the store. This role is pivotal in preventing internal and external theft and implementing safety programs at a Saks Fifth Avenue location.

Responsibilities

  • Train store associates on awareness and Asset Protection policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through regular reports and audits.
  • Organize and conduct annual store inventory.
  • Develop strategies to reduce merchandise shortages and improve paperwork controls.
  • Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years Asset Protection experience in a large volume retail environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to Saks Fifth Avenue standards and learn It applications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Wicklander-Zulawski certification is a plus.
