Job Description

Summary

As a Department Manager, you will be supporting the Store Manager to drive category performance and supervise the sales team to ensure exceptional customer experiences. Your role involves driving sales goals, providing real-time performance coaching, and embodying the brand’s values and behaviors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales associates to enhance selling skills and achieve sales goals and KPIs.
  • Drive sales for an assigned category and partner with the Store Manager on sell-through and team training.
  • Coach and manage a customer-facing team to deliver exceptional service in line with brand strategies.
  • Manage customer flow to ensure top-notch service and that no client is left unattended.
  • Facilitate collaboration between sales, specialists, stock, and operations teams.
  • Provide ‘in the moment’ coaching and post-interaction feedback to associates.
  • Work with the Store Manager on employee development and retention.
  • Lead new joiner integration and exemplify the brand’s values to customers.
  • Partner with Store Manager and Training to oversee in-store training.
  • Handle and escalate difficult customer issues as needed.
  • Drive the digital experience in-store and utilize digital communication tools.
  • Understand and communicate business needs and ideas for improvement.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Pos systems.
  • Ability to manage complex customer service situations.
  • Experience with mobile devices and digital tools.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales.
