Job Description

Summary

The Assistant Boutique Director at South Coast Plaza will support the Store Director in various aspects of store management, including sales support, operational policy enforcement, training, and stock management. The role is pivotal in maintaining exceptional customer service and empowering associates to make decisions that enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and motivate associates to exceed sales objectives and apply retail excellence.
  • Lead clienteling efforts for new client acquisition and retention.
  • Manage escalated customer issues and support the sales process.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and support changes to maximize sales.
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback to sales associates.
  • Assist in recruitment and development of staff and maintain inventory accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of retail experience with a focus on operations, management, or administration, preferably in luxury retail.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn various software packages.
  • College degree or equivalent education.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and service orientation.
