The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering the For Eyes Experience. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality Optometric care under the general direction and supervision of the Store Manager and within the scope of state law and the policies of For Eyes.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously.
• Explain paperwork, tests, products, and services to patients.
• Identify special needs and consult with Optician, Managing Doctor or Retail Management when necessary.
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
• Handle unsatisfied customer situations for resolution.
• Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling and computer operations.
• Handle and file patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Place contact lens orders and process shipments.
• Operate the POS system with accuracy.
• Maintain the appearance of the store and ensure visual displays are in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Respond quickly to changes in store promotions.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses.
• Perform pre-examination testing with accuracy.
• Provide coaching and guidance on contact lens care and handling.
• Maintain and disinfect contact lens inventory.
• Provide clinical support to the Optometrist as needed.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Leadership skills.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
• Organizational skills.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.
• Preferred: Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
