Summary

The Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining the store’s inventory and stock areas, minimizing stock loss, and safeguarding company assets by following proper inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
• Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance.
• Process inbound freight, returns, chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to policies.
• Support compliance with receiving practices and company policies.
• Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss.
• Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control.
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Complete price changes within the boutique.
• Assist in packing or wrapping customer merchandise when necessary.
• Solve problems and make informed suggestions for the receiving area.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in store meetings and training seminars.

• Ability to handle receiving operations and merchandise handling.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately.
• Process information and merchandise through computer systems.
• Manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate necessary equipment, including inventory-control systems.
• Availability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting.
• Previous retail stock/shipping/receiving experience.
