Job Description

Summary

The Assistant Fashion Director supports the Fashion Directors, Merchants, Advertising, Interior Visual and Windows to coordinate and execute seasonal objectives. This role involves assisting with advertising campaigns, participating in style-outs, attending market appointments, and acting as a liaison between the Fashion Office, Marketing, and Buying teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the selection of merchandise for advertising campaigns
  • Create lookbooks for marketing assets
  • Assist in creating color and fabric programs
  • Coordinate with visual team for window presentations
  • Present styling information to Advertising/Marketing teams
  • Handle sample trafficking for Marketing and store presentation needs
  • Secure assets for trend reports and coordinate with graphic design and printing services
  • Shop new resources and monitor competition to remain competitive
  • Attend local trade shows, fashion presentations, and report on findings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functional lines
  • Creative, strategic, and technical thinking
  • Flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
  • Detail oriented with strong knowledge of fashion trends
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally lift/move up to 10 lbs
