Job Description

Summary

Tiffany & Co. is seeking a dynamic and agile category manager to join our Engagement Jewelry Category Management team. The role involves managing projects that drive growth and shape the iconic Tiffany product portfolio, with responsibilities including category strategy management, pricing analysis, research, and new product development briefing. The candidate should have a strong merchandising background, business management understanding, and experience in developing company-wide networks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product portfolio, communicate category positioning, assortment, and pricing strategies.
  • Support design briefing and optimize product offerings for a competitive product strategy.
  • Analyze sales trends, review the competitive market, and facilitate cross-functional reviews.
  • Execute price change processes, build pricing strategies, and conduct gross margin analysis.
  • Drive lifecycle management, make recommendations for product discontinuations, and manage overstock and aged inventory.
  • Lead cross-functional communication, establish project timelines, and serve as a product expert.
  • Coach analysts, prepare staff evaluations, and ensure staff training on new systems and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior Merchandising or Retail experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Process-oriented with an overall aesthetic and design sensibility.
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software.
  • Undergraduate College degree required; MBA or Graduate Gemologist preferred.
  • Knowledge of luxury jewelry industry and Tiffany & Co. merchandise information systems is a plus.
