Summary

Seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Finance team, responsible for the month end accounting close, financial statement preparation, and financial reporting. The role involves collaboration with the accounting manager and entities within the scope, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and leading the preparation and recording of monthly financial activities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Accounting manager to work closely with entities in scope.
• Complete month end and year end close and financial reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliation, clearing reconciling items, and assist with process changes to reduce reconciliation issues.
• Prepare analysis and reconciliation of accounts related to all assigned areas and companies on a monthly basis.
• Adjust entries for accurate inventory valuation in accordance with GAAP.
• Support processes related to managing retail store fixed and variable rent and landlord relationships.
• Analyze and reconcile GL accounts related to taxation for entities in scope.
• Work with management to streamline and document processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in external and internal audits, including tax audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with three to five years’ experience in Accounting.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven understanding of SAP and sophisticated banking and accounting reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and previous retail industry experience.
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
