Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Retail to oversee the North American market for our free-standing retail locations. This key leadership role involves managing Regional Managers and reporting directly to Brand leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of luxury retail operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales and profitability across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement retail strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance brand presence across North America.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align retail operations with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.

Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage Regional Managers, ensuring effective execution of retail strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages high performance and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to Regional Managers.

Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all free-standing retail locations, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Implement and monitor operational procedures to optimize efficiency and customer experience.
  • Ensure consistent visual merchandising standards across all locations to reflect the brand’s luxury image.

Sales and Profitability:
  • Drive sales performance and profitability through effective management and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales reports, KPIs, and other performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies and events to boost sales and customer engagement.

Customer Experience:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and experience across all retail locations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Implement training programs for staff to enhance customer service skills and product knowledge.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, and finance to support retail operations.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Brand President and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on retail performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in luxury retail management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability in a multi-region retail environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across North America.
