Job Description

Summary

The Wholesale Sales Director at Diesel will lead the commercial development for specialty and department stores, aiming to reach company sales objectives and contribute to the brand strategy. This role involves developing strategic plans, assessing the current business, and proposing changes to increase financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Propose wholesale development plans to the CEO.
  • Identify business opportunities and threats, providing weekly reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure sales initiatives align with brand direction.
  • Manage team expenses and budget.
  • Plan and lead local sales campaigns, monitoring results and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Attend key account showroom sales appointments and preview presentations.
  • Oversee management of core inventory and participate in category meetings.
  • Lead sales analysis and ensure effective data provision on sales performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales Planning on sell-through performance and inventory levels.
  • Oversee training of sales teams and ensure specialized knowledge is provided.
  • Manage customer relations in collaboration with Credit and Customer Service Departments.
  • Liaise with headquarters to leverage US market trends and product performance insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in premium/luxury brand sales across the US.
  • 5+ years in a management role with 2+ direct reports.
  • Deep knowledge of the luxury market environment.
  • Managed a business of $100+ million in sales volume.
  • Experience in sales strategy development and brand growth.
  • Established senior-level relationships with department stores and specialty accounts.
  • Understanding of competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Strong business analysis and product knowledge.
  • Experience interacting with a Global Headquarters.
  • Effective communication skills.
