Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand Ambassador and Business Development Manager to join our team at the Meatpacking store. This role is pivotal in promoting the brand beyond the store, building and nurturing relationships within the interior design community, hosting events, negotiating brand partnerships, and identifying new opportunities to drive traffic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, extensive experience in the design community, and exceptional negotiation skills. This role will also involve selling in the store part-time.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Promotion:

  • Develop and execute strategies to promote the brand outside the store.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.

Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with interior designers, architects, and other key stakeholders in the design community.
  • Work closely with the design community to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring the brand’s offerings align with market trends.

Event Hosting:
  • Plan and host events in the Meatpacking store to attract new and existing customers.
  • Coordinate with marketing and PR resources to maximize event exposure and engagement.

Brand Partnerships:
  • Identify and negotiate brand partnerships that align with the brand’s values and business objectives.
  • Develop collaborative projects with partners to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.

Traffic Generation:
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategies to increase foot traffic to the store.
  • Implement innovative approaches to attract potential customers and convert leads into sales.

Sales and Customer Service:
  • Assist in-store sales activities part-time, providing exceptional customer service and sales support.
  • Ensure a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate the unique value of our creations.

Brand Ambassador:
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
  • Engage with the community and customers to build brand loyalty.
  • Use social media platforms to promote the brand and share brand stories.
  • Provide feedback from customers and the community to help shape marketing strategies.
  • Participate in photo shoots, interviews, and other promotional activities as needed.

Requirements
Experience:
  • Proven experience in business development within the luxury goods or design industry.
  • Established relationships within the interior design community are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating brand partnerships.

Skills:
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to host and manage events effectively.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
