The Luxury Retail Jewelry Sales Consultant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building relationships with clients, and assisting them in finding the perfect piece of jewelry. This is a full-time, onsite role at our NYC Atelier, located in Tribeca.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Consistently achieving monthly sales goals
- Spearheading initiatives to drive business to the store
- Actively prospecting new clients
- Maintaining and building relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring an exceptional level of customer service
- Ownership of all retail sales & managing all boutique-related issues
- Providing expert product knowledge, showcasing the unique attributes and craftsmanship of our fine jewelry
- Assisting clients in selecting jewelry pieces that align with their preferences and needs
- Effectively utilizing sales techniques and strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
- Remaining up to date with industry trends and competitors’ products, providing insights and recommendations to clients
- Handling transactions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales orders
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment, working closely with colleagues across departments to achieve team goals
- Maintaining the appearance of the store and participating in promotional events
- Driving sales to new and existing clients by networking with the community
- Organizing events and inviting clients to see new collections
- Working in partnership with the operations team, corporate team, marketing team, and designer/founder
- Calling customers, sending pictures, and engaging them with new collections
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury jewelry sales
- Previous experience with smaller jewelry brands is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Excellent networking skills to connect with our target clientele
- Strong knowledge of fine jewelry, gemstones, and precious metals with a keen eye for aesthetics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple clients simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to develop strategic initiatives to increase sales
- CRM/client development and engagement experience
- Business development mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership without a store manager
- Team player attitude with corporate partners
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Shopify, and POS
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings
