The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding this premium women’s brand’s presence across the West Coast region. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the brand’s footprint within major department stores and independent accounts. This role demands a proactive approach to relationship-building, significant travel, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Development:
- Identify and execute strategies to open and expand major department store accounts within the West Coast region.
- Develop plans to nurture and grow existing independent account relationships within the territory.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities specific to the West Coast and adjust strategies accordingly.
Sales & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major department stores and independent accounts in the West Coast region.
- Regularly review sales performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and high product quality, maintaining account satisfaction.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Account Executive team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship when needed.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on sales strategies and operational priorities.
- Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and enthusiasm within the team and among external partners.
Travel:
- Engage in approximately 25% travel within the West Coast region, primarily for relationship-building, sales meetings, and account management.
- Anticipate increased travel as the business grows and expands within the region.
Qualifications:
- Established relationships with relevant wholesale accounts, including major department stores and independent retailers within the West Coast region.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or wholesale management, with a focus on premium fashion brands.
- Proven track record in acquiring and growing department store and independent accounts.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in sales team collaboration and support.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly, with the flexibility to increase travel as needed.
