Summary

As the Senior Accounting Manager at Zegna, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. You will collaborate with both local and global accounting teams to manage financial data and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coach accounting staff, providing feedback and collaborating with HR as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements through monthly reviews and data analysis.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Submit final numbers in alignment with parent entity’s Finance department timelines.
• Manage revenue, payroll, leases, intercompany, and treasury processes.
• Reconcile US payroll and make adjusting entries at month end.
• Update SAP Real Estate with new leases and manage IFRS16 journal entries.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions between Zegna companies.
• Import T&E files into SAP and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare sales reports for variable rent and submit to landlords.
• Partner with external tax consultants and review completed tax returns.
• Perform monthly account analysis and prepare trial balance for review.
• Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements for corporate management.
• Prepare and file sales tax for 35 states and manage use tax schedules.
• Act as liaison for financial and tax audits with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain accounting processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Prior sales tax experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS 16 and SAP.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel.
• Detail-oriented and organized with analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
• Experience with reporting packages and financial closings preferred.
• Rent related expense management experience required.
• Industry experience in retail or consumer goods preferred.
