We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager of Personal Shopping to support and elevate a high-profile personal shopping division. Acting as the right hand to the Personal Shopping Manager, this role will help guide a team of approximately 20 elite Personal Shoppers and their supporting assistants. The successful candidate will be adept at inspiring exceptional client experiences, driving sales performance, nurturing key VIP relationships, and ensuring all day-to-day operations run seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Serve as the on-the-floor leader, providing hands-on support, coaching, and mentorship to Personal Shoppers and their assistants.
- Foster a cohesive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction.
- Identify professional development opportunities, championing ongoing training and skill-building initiatives.
Sales Performance & Client Engagement:
- Partner closely with the Personal Shopping Manager to strategize and execute sales plans that exceed aggressive revenue goals.
- Collaborate with Personal Shoppers to strengthen VIP client portfolios, engage new prospects, and introduce exclusive offerings.
- Support the cultivation of long-term client relationships, ensuring an exceptional experience that promotes loyalty and repeat business.
Operational Excellence:
- Assist in overseeing the full operational spectrum: client appointments, merchandise coordination, special requests, and logistical complexities.
- Streamline processes for optimizing time management, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.
- Leverage internal systems and reporting tools to maintain impeccable records of sales activity, client interactions, and inventory management.
Brand & Experience Stewardship:
- Uphold and champion the retailer’s standards of luxury and exclusivity, ensuring a best-in-class shopping environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners—from Visual Merchandising to Buying—to ensure consistent brand representation and merchandising support.
- Stay informed of market trends, product innovations, and competitor activities to keep offerings fresh, exciting, and relevant.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in luxury retail, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity. Proven success working closely with high-caliber, high-volume sales associates and demanding VIP clientele.
- Client Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with discerning customers, anticipating their needs and personalizing every interaction.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a record of inspiring teams to meet and exceed performance benchmarks. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- Operational Savvy: Adept with retail management systems, inventory controls, and sales analysis. Capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
