Job Description
Reports to: Assistant Store Manager, Operations
As Assistant Manager, Inventory Flow Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory process and operations, both inbound and outbound transfers of merchandise and density management for Ssense Montreal. You will need to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of inventory flow to improve and maximize the customer experience. You will contribute to flawless execution and delivery true to Ssense’s promise to its customers, as well as the prompt identification and resolution of any issues that may impact the customer experience. You will be able to foster a positive work environment that aligns with Ssense brand values ​​and achieves key company goals.
Responsibilities
Customer experience – 10%
- Participate in the management of the customer journey through the shopping models with or without an appointment and ensure that the customer experience is always exceptional; this support includes productivity, presentations, inventory management, transaction processing and after-sales service
- Solve problems encountered by customers by finding solutions that satisfy all parties and improve the customer experience
Operations – 60%
- Track and achieve inventory Kpis using a dashboard ensuring information is communicated to store team and stakeholders in a timely manner
- Manage payroll budgets for Inventory Specialists and Visual Presentation Coordinators to maximize productivity and improve customer experience
- Establish and continually improve the inbound and outbound inventory flow process. Ensure customer promises are met and support the sales team to maximize customer satisfaction
- Build strong relationships with warehouse and technology teams to continuously improve processes driving productivity and customer service quality
- Ensure inventory taking is managed accurately and efficiently, leveraging Ssense systems and technology where necessary
- Analyze, proactively communicate and react to inventory planning. Maintain proper inventory density, rotation and flow to achieve business goals
- Maintain current visual direction by establishing and communicating the highest visual presentation standards and ensuring they are applied to drive growth through product assortment and presentation optimization
- Ensure functionality of in-store technology and security systems used to support inbound and outbound inventory management
- Support, promote and take responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store checkout controls, inventory management and transaction accuracy
- Ensure compliance with company policies and protocols regarding store operations, health and safety, and housekeeping
Leadership – 30 %
- Ensure that all inventory specialists and visual presentation coordinators have the necessary knowledge and skills
- Motivate and inspire the team to contribute to the achievement of business objectives, as well as the vision and values ​​of the company
- Recruit, train and develop a talent pool and develop succession plans
- Develop training tools and conduct training and development activities
- Build and develop best-in-class, customer-centric teams. Assess the performance of each staff member on an ongoing basis, provide feedback that ensures results and resolve performance management issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of management experience in a customer service and high volume retail operations environment
- College or university degree in logistics, commerce, management or a related field, an asset
- Demonstrated experience in building trust in an omnichannel environment
- Ability to lift heavy loads (15 kg)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
- Comfortable working with the Microsoft Office suite, with the Google suite and with computers and the Web
- Flexibility for working hours that may vary due to business demands
