The Associate Director, Human Resources Business Partner- HQ, will provide full cycle Human Resources support to our fresh Global Headquarters, and be the HR partner to departments such as Marketing, Creative, Communications, Visual Merchandising & Store Design, Finance, Operations, Sustainability and Legal.

This role will play a critical role in the development of our talent and culture within the organization. The Associate Director will be a key influencer in people, organization and business development. This role is the partner to the business and draws off of fresh’s Centers of Expertise (Coe) to best support the business & their people strategy needs. As an Associate Director, you will be both strategic and hands on in managing aspects of the employee lifecycle, fostering and maintaining employee relationships through coaching and advising, leading organizational effectiveness efforts, and building consistency and compliance into daily HR related processes.

Our HR team is people focused, collaborative, proactive, progressive, solutions-oriented and makes time for fun together. As an integral member of our team, you will help in the continuing evolution of the HR team, introducing new ideas, benefits, processes and ways of working and continue to build expertise among each HR Center of Expertise (COE).

The HR Coordinator for HQ reports into this position.

We offer a hybrid working schedule with 3 days in office and two days remote.

Profile

Responsibilities

Talent Management:

  • Coach and develop managers to be better people leaders
  • Understand the key strengths and competencies of your business groups to support in their development plans, supporting internal promotions & development at every possible opportunity
  • Employee relations: Help in the facilitation of conversations to provide constructive feedback with a solutions-focused approach
  • Ensure right people, in the right place at the right time. Ensure staff costs are in line and strategize when talent investment is needed to drive business performance
  • Manage employee outboarding and exit process – communicate to the team and leaders to identify continuous improvement to retain talent
  • Use data to help make informed decisions

Talent Development:

  • Connect & work closely with employee population support in their development and direction of focus to align with organizational objectives
  • Support in the creation and design of the performance management process at Fresh
  • Work across all levels of the business for effective succession planning
  • Support Talent Development with facilitation of training related to various needs
  • Work closely with the Talent Development COE to identify training needs of client population
  • Oversee onboarding process for new employees: set-up request, welcome announcement, on-boarding plan, induction, 90-day review, etc. – ensuring the best new employee experience
  • Lead all performance reviews, feedback discussions & development opportunities to ensure our teams are cared for & invested in

Talent Acquisition:

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team in the full cycle recruitment process
  • Provide direction on organizational effectiveness, organization design opportunities and competency needs during the Ta process
  • Build an internal talent pipeline focusing on internal opportunity & promotions
  • Lead & influence these conversations with the Hiring Manager & Department Head

HR Operations & Project Management:

  • Proactively and strategically make recommendations to processes, programs, etc.
  • Assist in the development of all other projects, programs, procedures and guidelines aimed at aligning the workforce with strategic goals of the department and company
  • Partner with Office Services team on employee-focused initiatives regarding activities, events, and day-to-day projects
  • Participate, ideate and coordinate employee engagement events and in-house programs

  • Build credibility and trust among employees at all levels of the organization
  • Understand how to work effectively across the COEs to best support your clients with strong communication and collaboration
  • Identify key aspects of the organization’s culture—and understand & begin to propose new ideas to enhance the employee experience
  • Foster an inclusive work environment that seeks input and values diverse contributions and perspectives

What you will achieve in 12 months:

  • Understand the skills and competencies within the teams, what is needed & key talent to stretch and develop to achieve company goals
  • Identify & implement programs at enhancing the employee experience aligned with Fresh’s values
  • Support change management across all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as leader and trusted advisor to influence across all levels of the organization

Additional Information

You have:

  • 8+ years of Human Resources General Experience with strong experience in Business Partnering and Talent Development
  • Experience in retail, luxury retail or service-oriented organization, preferred
  • People focused. Able to quickly & organically build strong relationships at all levels cross functionally
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Insatiable curiosity for the business. Obsession to understand business priorities and how we in HR support these priorities
  • Strong project management skills – proven ability to successfully implement new process, way of working, etc.
  • Strategic thinker in departmental succession plans to influence advice given to the business
  • Strong people sensibility and instincts. Always considering the implications & impacts to employees
  • Trust, integrity, accountability and credibility are paramount in character
  • Honesty, transparency, inclusion, thoughtfulness, support and having a strategic mindset are critical in communication and action.
  • Experience in performance management, employee relations and talent development
  • Has a good understanding of labor & employment laws, compensation & benefits, policies & procedure
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive planner, with strong follow-through and follow-up
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Resourceful, service and solutions-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a ‘hands-on’ environment. Enjoys getting into the detail and rolling up your sleeves
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
