Job Description

The eCommerce Manager is a pivotal role within the business focusing on driving commercial results across all regions through driving brand awareness, customer acquisition and brand advocacy. This individual will own customer journey across the ATM and Derek Lam 10 Crosby websites and analyze, optimize and report with the support of the eCommerce team. This role reports to VP of eCommerce & Marketing and will have 2 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading:

  • Plan and execute the online sales calendar in line with the strategic business plan.
  • Partner with marketing to formulate eCommerce strategy including forecast and yearly trading planning.
  • Ownership of the online sales platform, delivering the roadmap for the channel, and ensuring it is maintained and continuously optimized.
  • Drive eCommerce KPIs: sales, conversion, margin, inventory turn, site optimization and more (category conversion, Average Order Value, abandon cart, etc).
  • Work closely with marketing team to create and deliver trading recommendations, utilizing the promotional trading plans that will achieve the overall company objectives.
  • Proactively reviewing daily and weekly performance identifying areas of opportunity and improvement, proposing actions and communicating findings to key stakeholders.
  • Partner with merchandising/buying teams to identify product strategy for D2C channels and promotional plan including merchandizing and price analysis.
  • Work with the logistics/operations team to optimize stock provisions.
  • Work closely with logistics/operations to ensure the seamless fulfillment of online orders.

Digital Reporting & Analysis:

  • Work with data analyst to optimize the knowledge of the trading performance.
  • Report on daily, weekly and monthly sales.
  • Support the business in understanding key sales drivers and opportunities.
  • Track sales performance vs budget and forecast monthly online demand.

Customer UX:

  • Provide ownership of optimizing the customer journey & product across D2C channel for both brands.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to provide develop a seamless and relevant landing experience from a variety of channels and campaigns whilst leveraging traffic in well optimized areas.
  • Work closely with the tech agency and creative team to further improve the eCommerce experience through UX changes, prioritizing based on the size of the opportunity.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of site innovations to continuously improve customer journey.
  • Lead with customer services to create an outstanding end-to-end consumer experience.

Management:

  • Take accountability for all people aspects across division including development plans, cross-functional working, coaching and leading a team.
  • Influence and challenge decisions to ensure commercial, customer and team needs are considered.
  • Attending updates with Executive Directors (as needed).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is required.
  • 6+ years’ experience required within an eCommerce role with at least 2 years in an analytical role and at least 2 years managing people.
  • Significant retail eCommerce experience, including responsibility and success in achieving sales targets, conversion metrics and budgets.
  • Must have solid management and leadership qualities.
  • Solid experience in reporting data, confidence with tools such as Google Analytics, MS office, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding communication, and presentation skills, must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to understand and manage sales and budget.
  • Experienced in using analytics tools to understand customer behavior and respond with merchandising activities.
  • System experience in: Shopify Plus, Hot Jar, Retention X and etc.
