Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Quality Controller to join our team. In this position, you will review incoming finished good merchandise ensuring all product received is of acceptable quality, defect free and is compliant with all Tiffany & Co. standards and specifications. Communicate quality observations to Management, internal teams, and finished good manufacturing facilities globally. Identify corrective action solutions to improve overall quality of products. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.

  • Review incoming finished good merchandise ensuring all product received is of acceptable quality and is compliant with all Tiffany & Co. standards and specifications. Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective action suggestions to internal partners and suppliers.
  • Receive orders by completing all systematic processes. Maintain and update pricing and unit variances.
  • Responsible for coordinating the return of unacceptable product to suppliers. Complete systematic movement and prepare the unacceptable product for return to the supplier.
  • Review and validate inspection submissions via the Qa remote inspection application, approving product for shipment.
  • Facilitate virtual product quality reviews with suppliers and design teams utilizing virtual technologies. Visit supplier manufacturing facilities to develop supplier Qc teams, align on inspection methods and expectations on product specifications and standards.
  • Provide quality feedback on product observations to design teams. Participate in new design qualification process by reviewing product samples, participating in product test wear, and making recommendations to improve product quality during the design phase.
  • Monitor submission of samples to internal testing lab to support testing programs
  • Document and capture inspection data in Quality Management System, maintain data accuracy and report supplier quality data.
  • Participate in all departmental training including safety training seminars and follow all job safety requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • College Degree
  • 3+ years Quality Assurance experience
  • Normal color perception, passing color test
  • 2+ work experience in supplier quality control
  • Proficient in English; written and oral
  • Proficient in Ms Office tools; Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Gemologist
  • Work experience in luxury goods manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of jewelry manufacturing methods
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certified
  • American Society for Quality Certification
