Job Description

Overview:

The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for evaluating the first run of ASR production and auditing production of David Yurman Product related to the product resourcing initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Lead initial ASR production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, and communication of evaluation results, and execution of inspector training program.
  • Assist in inventory transactions & cycle counts
  • Perform XRF Analysis on incoming ASR Components and Finished Goods. (Training will be provided)
  • Perform scan of diamonds in Production goods (training will be provided as needed)
  • Conduct Finished Goods audits (as needed), create audit report and communicate results internally
  • Conduct reference sample selection and coordinate transition to the project resourcing project manager
  • Conduct PD test product reviews and provide feedback and approvals.
  • Assist in documentation of defects and communication to vendors.
  • Research and resolve projects related to specific ASR product and process defects. Work closely with Repairs, Returns, Product Engineering, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Inventory.
  • Support QA initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years jewelry experience preferred
  • Experienced working as part of a Team
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Knowledge of quality systems and tools
  • Attention to detail with ability to work on long term and short-term projects, including the ability to inspect merchandise for corrective action purposes as required
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Experience using problem solving tools preferred
  • GIA or similar gemology certification preferred

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

Location: Lyndhurst, NJ

Travel: Some travel may be required
