The Sales Manager will lead the domestic and international Sales initiatives, driving innovation & results through best-in-class service. This individual has strong business and financial acumen with the ability to act decisively and with a sense of urgency.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Directly manage domestic and international wholesale business to achieve bookings and profitability targets for continued growth.
- Lead contact for all sales feedback to merchandising/buying, design, and product development.
- Implement streamlined internal communication to ensure sales needs and upcoming initiatives are met.
- Establish seasonal training cadence, weekly/monthly/seasonal performance recaps.
- Identify new market opportunities to expand program and drive in season selling.
Communication
- Provide detailed market feedback to the CEO.
- Escalating concerns or issues early to proactively and creatively mitigating the situation.
- Navigate roadblocks or delays, communicating to the requesting manager, and finding short terms solutions while working through the delay.
Strategic, Proactive Thinking:
- Identifying workflow inefficiencies, market opportunities, and business objectives.
- Communicating the above call outs, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, building a roadmap, and ensuring everyone is aligned and working toward shared goals.
- Focusing on long-term objectives, while delegating short term tasks to sales and retail teams.
Skills & Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant wholesale experience with a special focus on independent speciality accounts.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Understanding and knowledge of mens fashion market and strong competitive analysis.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Previous strategic sales growth experience.
- Strong Excel and retail math skills.
- Ability to speak in public in front of large groups of people (PK, market, etc.).
- Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to lead and influence a team of three direct reports.
