Alterationist

As an Alterationist at Holt Renfrew in Calgary, you will be responsible for fitting, pinning, marking, and altering garments to meet client specifications. You will work in a fashion-driven environment, collaborating with Sales Associates to ensure client satisfaction and delivering completed garments on time.

• Measure clients to determine the scope of work.
• Pin and mark garments according to fabric type to ensure correct fit.
• Complete alterations to the highest technical standard.
• Deliver completed garments by the promised date.
• Inform clients of alteration charges as per the current price list.
• Communicate promise dates for completed alterations.
• Provide expert guidance on garment cut and fit.
• Complete designated sections of alterations tag.
• Maintain department cleanliness and orderliness.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and privacy regulations.

• Technical training in tailoring or seamstress work or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with luxury fabrications.
• Comfortable communication in English and/or French.
