Responsibilities
- Perform garment alterations and repairs such as hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting waistbands.
- Take accurate measurements and consult with customers about fit and alteration options.
- Operate sewing machines and hand-sewing tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure alterations are completed within promised timelines and communicate status to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper care of tools and equipment.
- Inspect finished garments for quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Document alteration orders and process payments or work with store staff on transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer questions or concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in garment alterations or tailoring.
