Alterations Associate

Summary

The Alterations Associate performs alterations, resizing, and restyling on merchandise sold in the store. The role supports fitters with garment fit, alterability, and construction quality.

Responsibilities

• Alter garments to meet or exceed original construction quality standards.
• Perform garment alterations including adjusting shoulders, sleeves, collars, seams, coats, linings, and pockets.
• Operate and maintain sewing equipment, and inspect completed work for quality.
• Complete assigned tasks and follow written and oral instructions from the manager, supervisor, or lead.

Requirements

• Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment is preferred.
• Experience with a variety of garment styles and fabrics is preferred.
• Ability to read English, understand instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.
