Alterations Associate

Summary

The Alterations Associate alters, resizes, and restyles merchandise sold in Neiman Marcus stores. The role supports fitters with garment fit, alterability, and structural quality while maintaining the retailer's construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Alter garments, including adjusting seams, shoulders, sleeves, coats, linings, and pockets.
• Operate and maintain sewing equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete assigned alterations and interpret written and oral instructions.

Requirements

• Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment is preferred.
• Exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabrics is preferred.
• Ability to read English, understand instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.
