Alterations Associate

Summary

The Alterations Associate provides fitting and tailoring expertise while delivering personalized customer service. The role supports an exceptional customer experience and works toward individual performance and productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Fit customers and make alterations decisions based on garment needs.
• Perform alterations on a wide range of garments, including luxury merchandise.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide attentive service.
• Follow workroom, tailoring, and store policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and support store initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience with high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and alter a wide range of garments.
• Strong technical tailoring skills; expertise in leather, knits, double-face, beading, fine tailoring, or buttonholes is beneficial.
• Ability to operate standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment, as well as specialty machines.
• Knowledge of garment fabrication and styling for luxury merchandise.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
