Alterations Associate

Summary

The Alterations Associate supports the tailoring team by providing customer service and tailoring expertise. The role involves fitting garments and making alterations while contributing to an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Fit garments and make alterations across a wide range of merchandise.
• Use expertise to make alteration decisions during customer fittings.
• Build customer relationships and meet individual performance and productivity goals.
• Follow workroom and company procedures, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support store initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience with high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and alter a wide range of garments.
• Strong technical skills in specialty areas such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, or buttonholes preferred.
• Ability to use standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment, as well as specialty machines.
• Knowledge of fabrication and styling for luxury merchandise.
