Job Description

Summary

The Alterations Manager leads and supports alterations associates to provide outstanding service and meet the needs of clients and the selling organization. The role is responsible for building effective processes and maintaining high standards of service, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and build structural processes, and monitor progress and results against objectives.
  • Promote a professional work environment and effective teamwork between the selling organization and the Alterations department.
  • Recruit, select, train, and develop alterations associates to maintain high customer service standards.
  • Provide ongoing education, assessment, and performance feedback on quality, productivity, service, and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of management experience with comparable volume or a record of successfully managing operations and achieving results.
  • A four-year degree is preferred.
  • Fitting or tailoring experience in a luxury setting and the ability to alter a range of garments are preferred.
  • Knowledge of alterations, garment fabrication, and luxury merchandise styling.
  • Proficiency with technology, Microsoft Word, and Excel; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
