Alterations Intern

Summary

The Alterations Intern supports the tailoring team by providing customer service and alteration expertise. The role focuses on garment fittings, completing alterations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Fit customers and make alteration decisions based on tailoring expertise.
• Perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Build strong customer relationships and meet individual performance and productivity goals.
• Follow workroom, tailoring, and store policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support store and department initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience with high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and alter a wide range of garments.
• Strong technical skills in specialty areas such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, or buttonholes preferred.
• Ability to use standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment and specialty machines.
• Knowledge of fabrics and styling in luxury merchandise.
