Alterations Manager

Summary

The Alterations Manager leads the alterations team and supports exceptional client service. The role develops effective processes and works with the selling organization to meet client and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize department processes and monitor objectives, progress, and results.
• Recruit, select, train, and develop alterations associates.
• Provide ongoing education, performance feedback, and assessments focused on quality, productivity, and service.
• Promote teamwork between the alterations department and the selling organization.
• Maintain a professional work environment and uphold company standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of management experience with comparable volume or a record of managing an operations workforce and achieving results.
• Knowledge of alterations, garment fabrication, and luxury merchandise styling.
• Proficiency with technology, including Word and Excel.
• Fitting and tailoring experience in a luxury setting and the ability to alter a range of garments are preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• A four-year degree is preferred.
