Responsibilities- Ensure alterations customers receive a consistently superior shopping experience and high-quality alterations within the stated time frame.
- Supervise the duties of all alterations associates.
- Assist the alterations department by sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning merchandise as needed.
- Ensure fitting and sewing are performed to Neiman Marcus standards.
- Allocate garments on the work line to alterations specialists to maintain maximum productivity.
- Train new alterations specialists in Neiman Marcus techniques and standards.
- Support the education of consultants and management in garment fit and proper selection, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning.
- Generate alterations revenue by scheduling appointments to meet sales goals.
- Ensure all alterations policies and procedures are followed, including the Neiman Marcus price lists for all alterations.
- Execute all administrative duties in a timely manner, including the completion and submission of required paperwork.
Requirements- Ability to perform garment fittings in both Men's and Women's Apparel.
- Understanding of garment construction and fabrication.
- Knowledge and exposure to Designer apparel.
- Management experience with sewers/tailors/seamstresses.
- Sewing ability is a plus.
