Job Description

Summary

As an Alterations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, developing the skills of alterations associates, and managing the Tailor Shop at Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale. You will work on-site and report to the Senior Operations Manager, ensuring high-quality alterations and a superior shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure alterations customers receive high-quality service and timely alterations.
  • Supervise alterations associates and manage their duties.
  • Assist with sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning as needed.
  • Ensure fitting and sewing meet Neiman Marcus standards.
  • Allocate garments to alterations specialists to maintain productivity.
  • Train new alterations specialists in Neiman Marcus techniques and standards.
  • Support education of consultants and management in garment fit and proper techniques.
  • Generate alterations revenue by scheduling appointments to meet sales goals.
  • Ensure compliance with alterations policies and procedures.
  • Execute administrative duties, including paperwork completion and submission.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform garment fittings in both Men's and Women's Apparel.
  • Understanding of garment construction and fabrication.
  • Knowledge and exposure to Designer apparel.
  • Management experience with sewers/tailors/seamstresses.
  • Sewing ability is a plus.
