Job Description

Summary

As an Alterations Manager at Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour, you will lead and support the Alterations team to deliver outstanding service and meet client demands. You will work under the direction of the Assistant General Manager of Operations to achieve financial and performance goals while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and build structural processes within the department.
  • Drive positive outcomes by setting objectives and monitoring progress.
  • Create a professional work environment by upholding company standards of excellence.
  • Foster effective teamwork between the selling organization and the Alterations department.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service by recruiting, training, and developing Alterations Associates.
  • Provide ongoing education, assessment, and performance feedback to associates.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of management experience in a comparable volume setting.
  • Fitting/tailoring experience in high-end or luxury merchandise preferred.
  • Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
  • Knowledge of the Alterations industry, including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
  • Proficiency in technology, including Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
