Summary

The Alterations Specialist fits, alters, and repairs luxury garments while delivering an exceptional client experience. This in-store role requires expertise with delicate fabrics and intricate construction, along with accuracy, organization, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fit garments on clients and complete alterations, repairs, hemming, mending, and seam adjustments.
• Communicate with clients about their needs and provide fitting and styling advice.
• Label and track client garments, maintain organized work areas, and ensure sewing equipment is in proper working order.
• Collaborate with boutique associates and management to uphold production standards and client service.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related alterations experience preferred, ideally in a luxury retail environment.
• Sound knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques, including specialty skills such as fine tailoring, knits, leather, and beading.
• Strong communication, client service, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• High school diploma and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
