Alterations Specialist - Tysons Galleria

As an Alterations Specialist at CHANEL Tysons Galleria, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, altered merchandise within established time frame standards. You will play a vital role in providing excellent service, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, and working effectively with the associates and management team in the boutique.

• Uphold production standards to deliver the ultimate CHANEL experience to the client.
• Properly fit each garment with clients and alter a wide range of garments.
• Organize and maintain client-owned pieces in line with CHANEL expectations.
• Interact with clients to suggest styling and fitting advice.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of alteration techniques specific to CHANEL.
• Ensure sewing machines and other equipment are in proper working order.
• Build positive team relationships throughout the boutique.
• Alter or repair clients' garments, including hemming, mending, lengthening, and adjusting seams.
• Fit garments on clients to determine necessary alterations.
• Construct garments according to clients’ specifications.
• Label clients' garments and record required alterations.
• Communicate with clients to determine their specifications and preferences.
• Use irons and pressing machines to remove creases on garments.

• Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment.
• Sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional client service skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Ability to lift 15 lb.
• Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
