The Alterations Specialist produces high-quality garment alterations within established timeframes while delivering an exceptional client experience. The role fits garments, advises clients, and collaborates with the boutique team on the care and alteration of luxury pieces.

Responsibilities

• Fit, alter, repair, and construct garments according to client specifications.
• Record alteration requirements and organize client-owned pieces.
• Provide fitting and styling advice while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Maintain sewing equipment and stay current on techniques, fabrics, and luxury garment construction.
• Collaborate with boutique colleagues to support service and operational needs.

Requirements

• Five years of related alterations experience preferred, ideally in a luxury retail environment.
• Sound knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques, with specialty skills in areas such as leather, knits, fine tailoring, or beading.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and client service skills.
• High school diploma and ability to work under time constraints.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
