SummaryAs a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company adheres to international trade laws and regulations. You will support all regulatory import and export strategies for the US to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and look for creative regulatory solutions to overcome trade issues. This position is permanently onsite based in our Dayton, NJ Distribution & Service Center.
Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze global trade regulations and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide classification of products per US harmonized schedule and Schedule B for exports.
- Conduct internal customs audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement trade compliance procedures and policies to ensure adherence to international trade laws.
- Support post-entry corrections and maintain record keeping.
- Monitor and flag dangerous goods for all new and existing products.
- Conduct risk analysis and support the preparation of detailed reports for presentation.
- Investigate and resolve any trade compliance violations or issues that may arise.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all trade activities are properly documented and in compliance.
Requirements- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trade Compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Business, International Trade, or related field.
- International shipping industry expertise required.
- Understanding of customs brokerage process and freight forwarding required.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including extended holiday hours during designated periods.
