Summary

High-impact FP&A role at the Store Support Centre responsible for partnering with Supply Chain Buying and Planning to influence strategic decisions and drive financial performance. The role owns projects across budgeting forecasting month-end and management reporting while developing financial models and process improvements. Reporting to the Director of FP&A the analyst will provide actionable insights through analysis of KPIs variances and business commentary.

Responsibilities

• Build monitor and analyze Distribution Centre performance against budget and forecast including KPIs and variance analysis
• Collaborate with Buyers and Planners to own operating expense and gross margin analysis and identify drivers risks and opportunities
• Prepare weekly business performance commentary summarizing key events and highlights
• Own month-end activities for assigned areas and collaborate with Accounting for timely close
• Support annual budget and multi-year planning cycles with analysis reporting and recommendations
• Contribute to monthly quarterly management and Board reporting and presentation materials
• Develop enhance and maintain financial models reporting and processes to improve efficiency
• Partner cross-functionally to solve problems ensure financial performance and challenge the status quo

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field CPA designation or pursuing is preferred
• 3 years of progressive FP&A experience retail consumer or supply chain exposure is an asset
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience influencing decisions and collaborating with non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills experience with SAP and BI tools is an asset
• Proactive self-directed with ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• High attention to detail with strategic business perspective
