Job Description

Summary

The Architectural Design Associate will support the in-house Architectural Design Team and assist the Furniture Design Team on projects from construction through opening and beyond. The role requires strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple short- and long-term tasks while coordinating with vendors and consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all phases of design projects including construction administration and project closeout
  • Prepare and develop SketchUp models and draft architectural drawings and details
  • Manage vendors, RFPs, scheduling, and budgetary approval processes related to buildings, finishes, and installations
  • Maintain materials and samples library and perform materials research
  • Support project administration tasks such as organizing project files, plotting, and maintaining drawing sets

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Architecture or Interior Architecture/Design program
  • 0-2 years of relevant design experience; retail experience a plus
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; V-Ray a plus
  • Strong production, technical, and research skills with general knowledge of construction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to prioritize and be proactive
