Job Description

Summary

The Area Facilities Manager oversees facilities operations across multiple locations, leading technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure safe, well maintained, and customer focused environments. This role builds relationships with site leadership and property management, implements preventive maintenance and standard operating procedures, responds to emergencies, and supports operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead performance of technicians vendors and suppliers across multiple sites to perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility systems
  • Promote and drive a safety first culture including training recognition and safe work practices
  • Establish relationships with site leads regional leadership and business partners to deliver FM services
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier contract terms to ensure proper delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure planned preventive maintenance schedules are completed for critical and non critical equipment
  • Act as point of contact with site occupants and property management to coordinate FM activities
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide operational support to achieve business goals

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Facilities Manager or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC vertical transportation MEP and specialty systems
  • Experience using CMMS systems with planning scheduling and reporting
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers peers and senior leadership
  • Experience managing remote teams and third party contracted services
  • Proficiency in MS Office with demonstrated Excel and Outlook skills
  • Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution
