Area Maintenance Manager

Summary

The Area Maintenance Manager leads technicians responsible for maintaining material handling equipment, industrial automation, and building systems in a 24/7 fulfillment environment. This role manages preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance while partnering with site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, schedule, and develop maintenance technicians while promoting safe work practices and compliance.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs, respond to equipment downtime, and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage vendors, contractors, maintenance budgets, capital planning, projects, and operational priorities.
• Monitor reliability and productivity metrics, maintain work orders and asset records in a CMMS, and collaborate with Operations leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing and 2 years of direct leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with CMMS, material handling equipment, integrated automation, electrical and industrial controls, and reading blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, vendor management, and communication skills; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
