Area Manager - Asset Protection

The Area Manager of Asset Protection is responsible for supervising Asset Protection leaders and teams in Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores throughout their district. This role involves recruiting, development, performance oversight, and budgeting. The manager will co-develop and execute the company's shrink reduction strategy and ensure alignment with company values and business strategy. This field-based position requires travel.

• Lead and articulate the vision and values of the organization within the assigned area.
• Develop partnerships with cross-functional teams including District leadership and Store Management.
• Evaluate shrink data to identify trends in theft.
• Drive Asset Protection awareness and training topics.
• Implement company shrink programs and manage compliance.
• Investigate internal and external theft or fraud cases.
• Conduct district internal investigations and dishonest employee interviews.
• Address security incidents and provide safety training.
• Recruit, hire, and train Asset Protection teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5-8+ years’ experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or security services.
• 5 years’ experience in managing people leaders.
• WZ certification required, CFI certification preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and make decisions in stressful situations.
• Proficient in MS Office Professional Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 25%-50%.
