Job Description

Summary

The Area Manager of Asset Protection is responsible for supervising Asset Protection leaders and teams in Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores throughout the District. This role involves recruiting, development, performance oversight, and budgeting. The position requires co-development and execution of the company's shrink reduction strategy and ensuring the safety and security of employees, theft prevention, and alignment with company values. The role is field-based and requires travel.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and articulate the vision and values of the organization within the assigned area.
  • Develop partnerships with District leadership, Store Management, and other teams.
  • Evaluate shrink data to identify trends in theft.
  • Drive Asset Protection awareness and training topics.
  • Implement company shrink programs and manage compliance.
  • Investigate internal and external theft or fraud cases.
  • Conduct and manage district internal investigations and dishonest employee interviews.
  • Address security incidents and provide safety training to store teams.
  • Recruit, hire, and train Asset Protection teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8+ years’ experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or security services.
  • 5 years’ experience in managing people leaders.
  • WZ certification required, CFI certification preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions in stressful situations.
  • Proficient in exception-based reporting and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%-50%.
