Asset Protection Agent - Cedar Rapids Fulfillment Center

As an Asset Protection Agent at the Cedar Rapids Fulfillment Center, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding company assets, including property, merchandise, and employees. You will be responsible for loss prevention, safety, and security initiatives, ensuring a secure environment for all personnel.

• Greet and interact with building personnel and respond urgently to incidents related to loss prevention, safety, and security.
• Monitor identification badges for entry/exit and scan individuals using metal detectors.
• Perform visual searches of bags and other items to prevent prohibited items from entering the building.
• Use interpersonal skills to ensure compliance with security screening procedures.
• Collaborate with loss prevention staff and local law enforcement in sensitive situations.
• Investigate shrinkage/loss and maintain documentation related to loss prevention and safety issues.
• Audit physical security infrastructure and ensure functionality of all systems.
• Conduct daily warehouse walks to ensure physical security standards are met.
• Review camera footage for investigative purposes and respond to building alarms.
• Support building manager with opening and closing the building as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in security and personnel matters.
• Work weekends and/or overnight shifts as necessary.
• Perform special projects as directed by the Asset Protection Manager.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing service position, ideally in loss prevention, security, or risk management.
• Supply Chain Facility experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to safety and security issues.
• Proven accountability, initiative, and ownership in previous roles.
