Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, team members, merchandise, and store assets by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and maintaining safety and security standards. Works closely with store leadership, Emergency Response Team, and external partners to reduce shrinkage and ensure a safe shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Resolve theft incidents and conduct proper apprehensions following policy and AP guidance.
- Monitor video systems and leverage surveillance to identify and investigate theft trends.
- Implement shrinkage reduction plans and merchandise protection standards.
- Support and escalate internal theft investigations, gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership.
- Use RFID and reporting tools to analyze merchandise movement and support investigations.
- Respond to, report, and escalate store security incidents and medical emergencies.
- Lead security audits, participate in store meetings, and provide shrinkage awareness training.
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in First Aid and emergency training.
- Prepare incident reports and testify in court when required.
Requirements

- Flexible availability to meet business needs and any state or local licensing requirements.
- Experience with investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
- Ability to build partnerships with store leaders and local law enforcement.
- Attention to detail when preparing reports and documenting incidents.
