Summary
The Asset Protection Agent maintains store safety and protects merchandise by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response efforts, and partnering with store leadership and local authorities to reduce shrinkage and ensure a secure shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality apprehensions and resolve theft incidents while following policy and leadership guidance.
- Monitor surveillance and video systems to identify theft activity and support investigations.
- Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and collaborating with AP leadership and investigation teams.
- Leverage reporting, technology, and RFID data to identify theft trends and merchandise movement.
- Lead security audits and implement merchandise protection standards and action plans to drive shrinkage reduction.
- Respond to and report security incidents and medical emergencies to maintain customer and employee safety.
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency response and First Aid training.
- Prepare and submit reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
- Testify in court when summoned and build partnerships with local law enforcement and neighboring retailers.
Requirements

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Meet any state and local licensing requirements.
- Experience in investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
